Entrances to shopping centres really should be checked prior to trade. This way any hazards from the evening and night and morning at these locations will be attended to early and either reduce slip and trips and you will have data in the event of a claim.

If it is raining, this is critical.

Insight shows you the number of entrances not checked.

In some cases a copntract for service might start at the commencement of trade, if a slip and trip happens at an entrance and just after trade starts, with pre-trade check data the legal position will be much better.

Anecdotally, in 2020 and 2021 and 2022 we at Elite-ID were made aware of a number of slip and trip incidents either just before or just after the start of trade.
